Police released new surveillance video Wednesday of a man they say raped a woman at gunpoint in the Bronx earlier this month after climbing through a fire escape.
Police said it happened around 12:30 a.m. on Thieriot Ave. in Soundview on Sept. 10.
Investigators said a man broke into the home of a 28-year-old woman through a fire escape, pulled out a gun, and demanded money.
Police said the man then raped her before fleeing with $400.
The victim was treated at a local hospital.
Authorities said they believe the same man sexually assaulted a 20-year-old woman on Nov. 6 around 1:30 a.m. near Taylor Ave., just a block away, and also fled through the fire escape.
In that attack, according to police, the man entered the 20-year-old's apartment through a kitchen window after climbing up the fire escape.
The man police say they are looking for was last described as wearing a green t-shirt and faded blue jeans.
