A Manhattan window washer died Monday morning after a six-story fall in Gramercy Park.

The FDNY says it responded to a call of a fall victim at Madison Avenue and East 27th Street just after 10:20 a.m.

The NYPD says 56-year-old Eduardo Monge fell from the 12th floor, where he was washing windows, to a courtyard on the sixth floor.

Monge was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

It's not yet clear how he fell.

Jeffrey Monge, his son, says he has a lot of great memories of his father.

"He just always loved me. He always loved playing with me. We went out when I was a kid to go like hunt dinosaurs and, you know, like kid stuff," Jeffrey Monge said. "He was just like the greatest father ever and just a great human, a great human being, and right now, he's like in a better place."

In a statement, the victim's union offered condolences and support to his loved ones, and said this is a stark reminder of the importance of safety regulations and training for all window cleaners.
