Police sources have identified the Brooklyn couple killed after a fire ripped through their home early Monday morning.

They say 61-year-old Howard Gluck and his 59-year-old wife Evelyn were found unconscious in their bedroom.

Their house on 44th Street in Borough Park caught fire around 3:30 a.m.

The couple was rushed to a nearby hospital, where they died.

Their 17-year-old daughter was found on a fire escape and is now being treated.

Residents NY1 spoke with say the loss is taking a toll.

"This is a tight-knit community, and we feel everybody's pain. If one person gets jabbed, we all feel it," said one resident.

"Major shock. Totally unexpected," said another. "Fortunately, such things don't happen too often. When it happens, everybody feels the pain."

The FDNY says the fire started on the first floor.

There is no word yet on a cause.
