Kicking childhood hunger.

That's the focus of a campaign by the nonprofit "No Kid Hungry," which is teaming up with restaurants in Herald Square for the Dine Out for No Kid Hungry initiative that gives 10 meals to children in need for every dollar raised by participating eateries.

Organizers and volunteers — including Saturday Night Live cast member Kenan Thompson — are encouraging you to make your meal count.

"I'm a parent," Thompson said. "My daughter is three-years-old. I can't imagine her going to school and trying to concentrate with a hungry stomach. I can only imagine what those other 13 million kids are going through. This has really become an epidemic."

"There's really no discrimination when it comes to hunger," said Jennifer Kaleba, spokesperson, No Kid Hungry. "It's a big problem and we know we can fix it."

The nationwide fundraiser runs through the end of September.
