A dead body was found in a folding shopping cart in the Bronx on Wednesday night, according to the city police department.
Police said officers responded to a 911 call from someone around 8:45 p.m. saying they found human remains on East 182 St. and Walton Ave. in Fordham Heights.
Police said they discovered a man, who was later pronounced dead on the scene, in the cart. Investigators said his body was in a box, which a garbage bag covered.
Officials are trying to determine if the body was cut up.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
