Local vendors got a chance to sell their products right in their own backyard on Sunday.

Queens Craft Brigade held its first ever event at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Astoria.

Twenty Vendors from Queens sold various products that are also manufactures in the borough.

Organizers said it is all about shining a light on local creativity.

"Their neighbors make amazing things, it is not just people from Brooklyn or Manhattan, they could be your next door neighbor," said Robert Duffy, the founder of the Queens Craft Brigade.

"There is a creative community of makers here is Queen and we have good products and we want to show people that we have a lot to offer," added David Orellana, one of the vendors at the event.

Organizers said they hope to make the Queens Craft Brigade a monthly event.
