David Saul opened a new exhibition at The Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art Saturday.  It’s called Points of View.

The collection includes 50 photographs that showcase life in neighborhoods such as Chinatown, Greenwich Village and Miami Beach.

We caught up with Saul as he was putting the final touches on his exhibition.  He says he hopes his work will encourage others to examine the world around them.

"When you are walking in the city for example,” Saul said, “instead of just walking straight ahead like we usually do, look up and see what's above you rather than straight ahead of you."

Curator Melissa West says she wants visitors to “feel a sense of that old New York nostalgia and really what it is like to just go wandering through the city."

The exhibit runs from July 8th through September 17th. For more information visit snug-harbor.org.
