NEW YORK - A watermain break in Manhattan caused quite the traffic mess Thursday morning.

Crews responded to the scene on Seventh Avenue between 13th and 14th streets in Greenwich Village shortly after 8:30 a.m.

The city fre department says the break may have also damaged nearby sidewalks which caused scaffolding to fall, blocking southbound traffic along Seventh Ave.

No injuries were reported.

The city Department of Environmental Protection is investigating.
