Two people have been charged with allegedly forcing two teenage girls into prostitution in Brooklyn.

Prosecutors say Denina Roman and Taymel Harris held the 16-year-olds captive in an apartment on Lincoln Place in Crown Heights and forced them to engage in sexual acts with men.

Authorities say the victims collected cash for the encounters, which was allegedly given to Roman and Harris.

Roman allegedly threatened to beat the victims if they tried to leave. She is facing kidnapping, sex abuse and forcible touching charges, while Harris is also being charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
