Mayor Bill de Blasio on Monday kicked off a week-long tour in Queens as part of his "City Hall in Your Borough" initiative.

He and his staff will be working from Queens Borough Hall in Kew Gardens.

The mayor met with several city officials Monday, including borough president Melinda Katz.

Queens is the third borough he's visited since launching the initiative earlier this year.

"I appreciate this borough, and appreciate it for so many reasons, including its extraordinary diversity. I've been telling people here and all over the country about our city right now, especially in the context of the discussion about our American identity and on the question of immigration is, look at New York City right now, I think, by any objective measure, is the most unified we've been in generations," De Blasio said.

Earlier, the mayor was in Rosedale at the future site of the borough's newest police precinct.

The 116th Precinct will serve parts of southeast Queens to ease the load off of the 105th stationhouse.
