A man is dead after a shooting near Prospect Park in Brooklyn.

Police responded to a 911 call of two men being assaulted just before 3:30 a.m. Friday.

Police say they found three men in a car at Parkside Avenue near Parade Place, two of them with gunshot wounds.

A 42-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to his jaw, neck and back, according to police. He was taken to Maimonides Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities say a 20-year-old man was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition with a gunshot wound to his back.

A third man was not hurt.

So far, there have been no arrests, but the investigation is ongoing.
