A Staten Island man is under arrest after he streamed himself beating a cat on social media, police said.

Tyrike Richardson, 21, faces charges that include aggravated animal cruelty.

Police said an NYPD officer came across a Facebook video June 29 of Richardson beating the cat and throwing a chair on top of it.

The officer investigated and managed to find the cat from a garbage can on McClean Ave. and Arthur Ave. in Arrochar, police said.

Police said the cat was stabbed and beaten.

They say the cat suffered life-threatening injuries, including muscle and liver injuries, tongue abrasions, and bruising to its eyes and ears, though the NYPD said the cat was breathing when it was found.

The cat was brought to two veterinarians, who provided it medical treatment.
