NEW YORK - Trouble in the transit system is taking its toll on Governor Andrew Cuomo's approval rating.
A Quinnipiac University Poll released today shows just 46 percent of New York State voters approve of the governor overall, while 38 percent disapprove.
That's a significant dip from just five months ago, when 52 percent approved.
It's also close to the record-low 43 percent approval rating Cuomo saw in 2015.
When it comes to his management of the MTA, the Governor barely earns a passing grade from city voters.
Twenty-eight percent of those polled would give him a 'C'.
Twenty-three percent give him an 'F', while just four percent say he deserves an 'A'.
The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.9 percentage points.
