NEW YORK - More power than usual is how Macy's is billing this year's Fourth of July Fireworks extravaganza.

Organizers say 60,000 shells from five barges along the East River will launch into the summer sky that night making it the largest show in over a decade.

The first round of fireworks will be set off around 9:25 p.m. and the barrage of color and sound will last for nearly 25 minutes.

Twenty-three colors of flare will light up the sky, to the tune of patriotic classics like "Yankee Doodle" and "America the Beautiful".

More than three million people are expected to watch this year's 41st annual show in person.
