BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Police are investigating two pharmacy robberies in Brooklyn, including one that left a worker slashed on the arm.
Investigators say two men walked into a Rite Aid on Smith Street in Carroll Gardens shortly before 4:30 a.m. Wednesday and made off with $4,000 worth of cigarettes.
About 10 minutes later, police say the men walked into another Rite Aid a few blocks away and grabbed another $4,000 worth of cigarettes.
When they were confronted by a store employee, one of the men allegedly pulled a knife and slashed the worker.
The suspected robbers drove off in a black car.
The Rite Aid worker was treated at a local hospital.
