The search is on for the driver of a Jeep that hit a woman on Staten Island.
It happened just after midnight on Westervelt Avenue near Hendricks Avenue in St. George.
The woman was taking a child out of her car when she was hit by a gray Jeep that kept going.
She was taken to the hospital with severe leg injuries.
The child was not hurt.
