BRONX, N.Y. - They might be red hot on the field, but the New York Yankees are not filling the stands like they used to.

The New York Post says revenue from ticket sales and suites has fallen by close to $166 million since the end of 2009.

That's the last time the Bombers won a World Series, and it's also the year the new stadium opened.

Attendance this year has dipped by nearly 3,800 per game over the same point last season, including a double header and a rainout.

Back on May 1, the Yankees lost to the Blue Jays in front of the smallest hometown crowd in 13 years.

Experts are blaming high prices, and a failure of the team to reach a younger generation of fans.
