NEW YORK - The Port Authority is taking another close look at its current bus terminal.

The move comes as controversy swirls over plans to relocate the facility.

At a board meeting Thursday, the agency said it will conduct a study of the existing terminal at Eighth Avenue and 42nd Street.

That study should be complete by July.

A multi-billion dollar plan to move the terminal one block west has drawn criticism on both sides of the Hudson.

New York lawmakers say the Port Authority ignored their input when drawing up the plan, and claim the project would destroy Hell's Kitchen.

The Port Authority Bus Terminal is the busiest in the nation, and serves a quarter million people every day.
