The FDNY says incense caused a fire in Queens that led to the death of a firefighter Thursday.

William Tolley was killed while fighting the two-alarm fire in Ridgewood.

Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro says he fell five stories while working on the roof.

He said the exact circumstances of Tolley's fall are still unclear.

Tolley was a 14-year veteran of the department.

He was 42 years old.

A memorial for Tolley has been set up outside his stationhouse in Glendale. A bunting installation ceremony is planned for 5 p.m. Friday.

His wake will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, and his funeral will be held Thursday, on Long Island.
