A community in the Bronx is mourning the death of a 26-year-old woman shot and killed earlier this month.

Family and friends of Margarita Marie Franco marched through the streets of Williamsbridge to call for an end to gun violence in the community.

Franco was found with a gunshot wound to the head back on April 2 on East 214th Street.

Her parents tells us they are heartbroken and want justice for their daughter.

"Lovable girl. Born on February 14, Valentine's baby. I was born on the 4th. We were all Aquarius, you know? We would clash, but she was mine," said Francisco Franco, Margarita's mother.

"We're just reaching out for gun violence. Whatever you know, it's anonymous. Just please, stop this now," said Jasmine Colon, Margarita's mother. "And it's just not for our daughter. For any daughters, any sons, any young kids, anybody carrying a gun. If you see them, make a difference."

Police are still searching for her killer.

Authorities say surveillance video shows her walking away from a man, then walking back towards him.
