The Friday morning commute will be a slippery one as some parts of the city could see up to several inches of snow.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. Thursday until 2 p.m. Friday.

Rain during the overnight hours will transition to all snow by Friday morning.

The forecast calls for total accumulations of between two and four inches, mostly over the colder surfaces of the cars and grass.

Friday will see a high of around 38 degrees.

The city Sanitation Department has issued a Snow Alert effective Friday morning at 1 a.m. to prepare equipment and personnel.

Alternate side parking rules will be suspended Friday for snow removal.

Drivers will still have to feed the meters.
