The cowboy who brought his horses over the Outerbridge Crossing last year has lost the animals for good after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.

Doc Mishler, 80, caused a stir over the summer when he rode across the bridge on horseback to Staten Island.

He was later arrested and charged with animal cruelty after vets found his horses were dehydrated and covered in painful sores.

As part of his plea deal he agreed to turn the horses over to the NYPD.

He also won't be able to possess horses in New York for two years.

Staten Island District Attorney Michael McMahon says both horses have since recovered and are being cared for at an undisclosed facility.
