NEW YORK - Acclaimed Chinese artist Ai Wei Wei is behind a new series of public art installations soon to be appearing around the city.

"Good Fences Make Good Neighbors" will be unveiled this October.

Locations to be featured include Central Park, Astor Place, and Flushing Meadows-Corona Park are just some of the locations to be featured.

The pieces will be constructed from metal wire security fences.

Ai Wei Wei says the works are designed to make a statement about borders and division in society.
