A woman has been arrested for allegedly trying to get through JFK Airport with drugs hidden in picture frames.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers say they found three wooden picture frames while conducting a search of Fabiola Guerrero Mendoza's bags on Tuesday.
They say they saw something odd when the the frames were x-rayed. That's when they say they discovered the frames contained about 14 pounds total of cocaine.
Mendoza is a Mexican citizen and was traveling from Mexico City. She now faces narcotics smuggling charges.
This is the third time this month officers have caught someone trying to smuggle in cocaine.
