Police have arrested a man they say killed his grandmother, then left her body outside an apartment building in Brooklyn.
The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Thursday.
Investigators say they found the body of 70-year-old Joyce Spears in front of the building on Union Street near Troy Avenue in Crown Heights.
Police say 32-year-old Barry James hit her with a blunt object, then stabbed her.
She was found wrapped in a bed sheet.
Spears is now facing murder charges.
A bloody knife and 35-pound weight were recovered from the scene.
