A Massachusetts man is under arrest after a baby girl was struck and killed by a pickup truck Thursday night in Queens.
It happened shortly before 9 p.m. at the intersection of 94th Street and 23rd Avenue in Elmhurst.
Investigators say Wallace Ramirez was making a right turn onto 23rd Avenue in his Dodge Ram when he hit 1-year-old Skylar Perkins, who was being pushed in her stroller by her mother.
The girl died at the hospital.
Her mother was not hit.
Ramirez stayed on the scene, but was later charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care.
