Several streets in Midtown were shut down Wednesday after reports of an unsecure construction site.
Officials say a piece of wood being hoisted came loose just before 5 p.m.
There were also reports of falling debris.
Crews closed stretches of Third Avenue and 59th Street for several hours.
The Buildings Department issued a violation, along with a partial stop-work order for the site.
No one was hurt.
