Police are investigating after a leader of a Turkish cultural center in Brooklyn was allegedly sent a hate letter.

The letter was sent Monday evening to the 40-year-old man's home at Brighton 3rd St. near Shore Parkway, according to the city police department.

Police said the letter contained racial slurs and threats. It is unknown who is responsible for sending the letter.

The man lives in an apartment above the Eyup Sultan Cultural Center and was at home when the letter arrived, the city police department said.
