A 22-year-old man is facing charges after police say he sexually abused a 9-year-old student at her Upper West Side school.
Investigators say the girl was playing in the gym at the Ideal School on 91st Street on Friday afternoon.
That's when Channing Parker allegedly approached her, took her into a bathroom, and forced her to perform a sex act.
Police say Parker worked for an outside after-school services provider called Kids Creative.
He passed a background check when he was hired.
The school has now ended its relationship with the organization.
