NEW YORK - When Mayor Bill de Blasio meets with federal prosecutors investigating possible "pay to play" politics at City Hall, the sit-down will take place at his personal lawyer's office and not at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Lower Manhattan, a source tells NY1.

The source also says the mayor will not be under oath, although lying to the FBI is a federal offense.

NY1 has previously reported that the mayor was not granted immunity to appear before prosecutors and a source says he did not request it either.

The mayor has not given an exact date for the meeting but has said it will happen in the coming weeks.

Federal investigators are trying to determine whether any donors to the mayor's now-shuttered non-profit group got favors from City Hall in return.

The mayor has said repeatedly that he and his team have done nothing wrong.

The New York Times first reported on the location of the mayor's meeting with prosecutors.
