Queens College now has nationwide bragging rights over other colleges and universities.

The federal government recently named Queens College to a list of schools that produced the most Fulbright scholars in the last year.

Three students from Queens College won Fulbright awards for the current school year. The Fulbrights are merit-based grants for international students.

In the past three years alone, 12 graduates have received the honor.
The school's president tells NY1 the achievement is a reflection of their school community.

"We consistently have excellent students competing, winning, doing great things, living up to the school motto, that we learn so that we may serve. And a testament also to the faculty who are their mentors and their guides," said Queens College President Felix Matos Rodriquez.

The three students that won the award are currently participating in international educational exchange programs in England, Thailand and Israel.
