A Bronx community board member is calling for the state to suspend a City Island eatery's liquor license after a chair-throwing fight broke out Thursday.

A witness recorded the incident on a cell phone video. In it, viewers can see chairs flying as several patrons brawl at the restaurant Seafood City Thursday night.

The video quickly spread on social media.

Community Board 10 member Marjorie Velazquez says the fight is unacceptable and wants the State Liquor Authority to investigate.

Residents say this is not the first time this has happened and they want more security.

"We know they’ve had a lot of trouble there, especially with noise in the parking lot, but also inside the restaurant as well," said one. "And so, the civil association, of which I’m an officer, has tried very hard to work with the police department and with the owners of Seafood City and a number of the other restaurants here that attract large crowds of people. And they would love to have off-duty police officers.”

Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj says the NYPD met with the owner of the restaurants. Seafood City has decided to close the bar at 6 p.m. until further notice.
