Two teenagers on Staten Island were arrested Tuesday for performing stunts on their bicycles that caused major traffic problems, police said.

Groups of bicyclists performing dangerous stunts and taunting motorists have become a big problem in the borough. Many of the tricks are done in front of oncoming traffic.

One of the teenagers arrested Tuesday is a 16-year-old boy who did stunts while riding the wrong way on Coddington Avenue near 10th Street in New Dorp, causing cars to move out of the way. He faces reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct charges.

Officers at the 122nd Precinct confiscated several bikes in Midland Beach and New Dorp.
