Police are looking for a man they say stole thousands of dollars from a Brooklyn diner.

The man in this surveillance video allegedly entered Champs Diner in Williamsburg through a side door at about 1:30 a.m. Monday.

Police say he stole two safes containing about $10,000, along with six computer tablets.

One employee who spoke with us says it will be tough for the diner to recover.

"We can't really work today, cause there's nothing to punch in, there's no registers, there's really nothing," the employee said. "I went inside and it's just like tragic. They're good people, for something like that to happen, it's hard."

Sources say the man used a hand truck to move the stolen goods.
