There was quite a scare at JFK Airport on Thursday night as a pilot reported a fire on a plane on the runway, according to the Port Authority.
The Port Authority said while the pilot reported a fire, by the time first responders got there shortly after 11 p.m. there were no flames.
A photo that NY1 obtained appeared to show the outside of the plane on fire.
The fire may have been a small engine blaze, according to the Port Authority.
No one was injured, according to officials, the plane was not evacuated, and it was taxied to the gate.
The flight was departing for Buenos Aires.
