The suspected driver in a deadly New Year's Day hit-and-run in Brooklyn has been identified.

Police say 23-year-old Tedangelo Jerome hit a 53-year-old man with his car as the victim crossed Conduit Boulevard near Pine Street in East New York on Sunday morning.

The car then hit a guardrail and Jerome ran away.

The victim died at Brookdale Hospital.

Sources say Jerome was driving with a suspended license.

He was last seen wearing all black clothing.
