A carbon monoxide leak linked to a faulty boiler Tuesday morning has landed a Bronx landlord in hot water.

Firefighters responded to a call of a person with difficulty breathing just after 4 a.m. at an apartment building located at 232 East 165th Street in Melrose.

Thirteen people wound up going to the hospital, one of them in serious condition.

The building has been vented, and the owner has been issued violations.

Con Ed says gas service to the building has been shut down, and will not be turned back on until the landlord completes repairs.
