The group Sustainable Staten Island hosted a rally Tuesday outside Borough Hall.

Members are calling on elected officials to focus on human rights issues facing Staten Islanders.

The newly formed coalition is made up of several grassroots organizations and labor unions.

Organizers also unveiled what they call the Staten Island Bill of Rights.

"We got some very serious issues facing Staten Island," Community Advocate Ruth Power-Silverberg said. "We've got issues of race relations. We've got issues of housing. We've got issues of employment."

Organizers delivered the bill of rights to Borough Hall. They say they will continue spreading their message.
