An MTA bus driver was sentenced to five years' probation last week after killing a woman in a hit and run in Brooklyn in 2015.

In November 2015, 48-year-old Paul Roper struck 70-year-old Carol Bell as she was crossing the street with a walker in Cypress Hills.

He was driving a B15 bus at the time and kept driving towards a bus depot in East New York.

He faced several charges, including leaving the scene of an accident and failing to yield to a pedestrian.

Roper will also have to pay a fine and perform community service.
