"Joey Boots," a famous radio show sidekick to Howard Stern, was found dead in his Bronx apartment Friday night, according to police.
Police said they found Joseph Bassolino, known as "Joey Boots," dead at his apartment on Grand Concourse near East 199th St. around 9:40 p.m.
As part of Howard Stern's "Wack Packers" group, Bassolino became known for screaming the phrase "Baba Booey" during the show and on live news broadcasts.
His cause of death is under investigation.
Bassolino was 49 years old.
