Cops have identified the man allegedly responsible for the brazen robbery of an armored truck in Manhattan.
Investigators say this man is 53-year-old Julio Nivelo.
He also goes by David Vargas.
They believe Nivelo is currently in Los Angeles.
Nivelo allegedly approached the armored truck on West 48th Street and 5th Avenue in Midtown around 4:30 in the afternoon September 29.
Surveillance cameras caught the man taking a pail from the parked truck.
Investigators say the pail contained 86 pounds of gold flakes, valued at $1.6 million.
