As temperatures dip below freezing, the Department of Homeless Services issued a code blue for people living on the street.

Outreach teams scan city streets for vulnerable New Yorkers who may need to seek shelter during very cold weather.

The city will likely issue another tonight as temperatures hover in the high twenties.

Drop-in centers are open 24 hours a day during a code blue, and homeless adults can access any shelter for single individuals.
