Police will be out in full force for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The NYPD says about 3,000 officers will be protecting the crowds.

There will also be counterterrorism units and undercover officers along the route.

The city is rolling out new safety measures this year, like blocking all crosstown traffic.

More than 80 sanitation trucks will be used to line the streets.

Despite the added measures, officials want revelers to come and enjoy the show.

"I'm worried about keeping everybody safe. That's our job, and I think all 36,000 of us worry about that. It's an important function. But we're well prepared, and we started preparing for this the day after Thanksgiving last year," said Police Commissioner James O'Neill.

"There's no credible and specific information of any specific threat directed at this parade," said Mayor Bill de Blasio. "The NYPD is more than ready to handle anything that is going on around us."

The parade steps off at Central Park West and 77th Street at 9 a.m.

It wraps up at noon in front of Macy's Herald Square.
