NEW YORK - Two men are facing charges in connection to the death of a Connecticut man in Manhattan last weekend.

The charges come as sources tell NY1 police are also looking for a third person who may have tampered with evidence in the case.

Investigators say James Rackover, 25, and Lawrence Dilione, 28, killed Joseph Comunale, 26, and then tried to burn his body with gasoline.

They say he was stabbed 15 times in the chest.

At their arraignment Thursday night, the Manhattan District Attorney's office charged them with concealment of a human corpse and tampering with evidence.

Police initially charged Rackover and Dilione with murder in the death of Comunale, but the Manhattan DA has not yet brought those charges against the two men.

Investigators say Comunale was last seen around 7:30 a.m. Sunday at Rackover's Sutton Place apartment on East 59th Street.

Police found the Hofstra grad's body days later in a shallow grave in Oceanport, New Jersey.
