A Brooklyn man is facing decades behind bars for bribing members of the NYPD in exchange for expedited gun permits.

Alex "Shaya" Lichtenstein, 44, pleaded guilty to federal bribery charges in Manhattan federal court.

U.S. Attorney General Preet Bharara says Lichtenstein paid NYPD members thousands of dollars for them to speed up the approval of around 150 gun permits.

Prosecutors say Lichtenstein would then provide those permits to people who paid him up to $18,000 per license.

Two high-ranking NYPD commanders were also charged in the scheme.

Officials say Lichtenstein is a volunteer with the Orthodox Jewish patrol society in Borough Park.

He faces up to 20 years in prison when he's sentenced on March 16.
