Police have arrested a man in Queens they say kept his dead grandmother in plastic bags for several months.

Police say they arrested 30-year-old Christopher Fuhrer.

They say they went to a Ridgewood home Wednesday after his mother requested a wellness check on 85-year-old Erika Krause-Breslin.

When police arrived, they say Fuhrer led them to a bedroom where her body was wrapped with plastic bags.

Investigators say he used a fan and air fresheners to mask the smell for more than five months.

Fuhrer is facing several charges, including improper burial.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
