A Brooklyn community's plea to save a temporary pool has worked for now — as the city agrees to leave the Pop-Up Pool at Brooklyn Bridge Park open for one more summer.

The pop-up pool debuted in 2011 and was only supposed to stick around for five years.

The city had plans to replace it with a larger, permanent pool as part of a three-acre project, but that's been postponed.

A survey conducted by State Senator Daniel Squadron's office found that more than 70 percent of respondents visit the site at least once a month.

More than 60 percent of respondents made multiple trips per month.

In a statement, Squadron called the move a huge victory for the community.

The President of Brooklyn Bridge Park also released a statement saying:

"We all love the Pop-Up Pool, and keeping it for one more season gives us more time to pursue the best solution for everyone: a larger, permanent pool for Brooklyn Bridge Park. We look forward to working with the community and our elected officials to fund the permanent pool."
