NEW JERSEY - Jurors in the so-called "Bridgegate" trial will hear closing arguments today.

Two of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's former aides are accused of shutting down access lanes on the George Washington Bridge in an attempt to punish a Democratic mayor who did not endorse the Republican governor.

Bill Baroni and Bridget Anne Kelly both say they thought the closures in 2013 were part of a legitimate traffic study set up by former Port Authority official David Wildstein.

Wildstein already pleaded guilty to federal conspiracy charges.

He testified that both defendants knew the closures were politically motivated.

Governor Christie has repeatedly denied any knowledge of the lane closures and has not been charged.
