Police need your help finding a man they say put an emaciated dog in a suitcase, then dropped the bag in a Manhattan dumpster.

Police say Bryan Lepe was seen leaving an apartment at 645 Water Street near Market Slip on the Lower East Side while carrying a suitcase on Wednesday, October 19 around 8:45 p.m.

Less than two hours later, someone from a private carting company found a starving pit bull inside the bag, which had been thrown in a dumpster at 7 Gouverneur Slip East near the Vladeck Houses.

The animal is being cared for by the ASPCA.

Lepe is described as 22 years old, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing 110 pounds, with black hair and black eyes.
