Things got a little bit sweeter in Queens this week with the opening of the city's first-ever Cheesecake Factory.
The new restaurant at the Queens Center Mall opened Tuesday, serving up 30 types of cheesecake along with nearly 250 other dishes.
"We are so excited. We've been getting requests to open a restaurant in New York City for years and I think everyone was excited that today was the day we were finally opening," said Cheesecake Factory Senior Director of Public Relations Alethea Rowe.
There are more than 200 Cheesecake Factory locations around the world.
